NCAA Initial-Eligibility Clearinghouse http://www.ncaaclearinghouse.net/app/NCAA/common/index.html

WHO?

The Clearinghouse serves three main constituent groups: prospective student-athletes, high school administrators, and NCAA member institutions. The purpose of the Clearinghouse is to certify your athletics eligibility for Division I and II athletics. The Clearinghouse is located in Iowa City, Iowa. It was developed to coordinate and process the athletics eligibility of all Division I and II athletes. Working with the prospective student-athlete (PSA), the high school from which the PSA graduated, and the member institution in which the PSA intends to enroll, the Clearinghouse determines the initial eligibility of the PSA.

WHEN?

If you intend to participate in Division I or II athletics as a freshman, you must register and be certified by the NCAA Initial-Eligibility Clearinghouse. You can begin the registration and certification process after your junior year in high school. But before you can be certified, you must register.

HOW?

In order to be registered with the clearinghouse, you complete the registration process found at www.ncaaclearinghouse.net, or you may also complete the student-release form found in the Guide to the College-Bound Student-Athlete. There is also a $30 registration fee that must be paid before the Clearinghouse will process your application. Once you have registered with the Clearinghouse, you can track the progress of your application by logging onto the website listed above.
