Pepsi's Cowboy Tailgate

Fans can enjoy the "Quarterback Challenge" at Pepsi's Cowboy Tailgate.

Tailgating prior to Wyoming football games has become as much of a Saturday afternoon tradition as the game itself. Passionate Poke fans arrive hours before kickoff dressed in their Cowboy apparel to eat a burger, drink a Pepsi, listen to the band and experience college football’s game day excitement.

As of fall 2003, the Wyoming Athletics Department and Pepsi are teaming up to enhance this experience by creating Pepsi’s Cowboy Tailgate. As the name sponsor, each year Pepsi will devote funds to the University to purchase an interactive inflatable attraction or some other appropriate activity. This year’s attraction is a 15’ x 12’ x 12’ inflatable item called “Quarterback Challenge.”

With these new items (and activities), Saturday afternoons in Laramie will be even more enjoyable for Cowboy fans.

Attractions to be offered this year include:
• Cowboy Joe Club hospitalities
• Quarterback Challenge: How accurate are your passing skills?
• Face painting and temporary tattoos
• Team Shop: Purchase your favorite UW team gear
• University of Wyoming Western Thunder Marching Band
• Pistol Pete and the University of Wyoming Cheerleading squad
• Wyoming Athletics trivia contest and prizes
• Food & Drink vendors
• Live music

Pepsi's Cowboy Tailgate is located on the grassy hill just north of War Memorial Stadium.
